It’s so easy to get comfortable in the bubble of our own lives as designers and artists.  Whether you’re your own boss or you work for a company or organization, we tend to move toward easy, predictable formulas.  We get comfortable doing our own work for our own benefit and then putting our tools down at the end of the day to go home to our family and friends.

But, in this TED talk, Emily Pilloton paints a new picture of the of artists who look beyond themselves and see the power they have to shape our communities.  I hope this inspires you to step out of your paradigm and see your creativity blossom as you give of yourself!
